The Autumn Cloak of Trees

The Autumn Cloak of Trees

Wrapped in splendor
A coat of gold
A scarlet ribbon
Your branched arms hold
Sparkle of dew
On your silken leaves
Southern-bound birds
Hotel in neighbor trees
Shake your locks
To the western sun
In your torrents of color
Autumn’s begun.
